Large-flowered gentian (Gentiana altaica L.)

Gentian Altai is a perennial herbaceous plant from the Gentian family.

Description:

Perennial herbaceous plant with a creeping branched rhizome and numerous low stems (up to 4-5 cm), at the base of which are rosettes of basal lanceolate leaves. The flowers are large (up to 5-6 cm), goblet, dark blue, located on the tops of the stems. Distributed in the Baikal and Transbaikalia, in Altai.

Medicinal use:

It is used in Tibetan medicine, where it is included in complex collections (compositions) of tonic and anti-sclerotic drugs.
