Botanical description. This perennial herbaceous plant is native to Asia. Cultivated in many states.
Active ingredients: madder-erythric acid, other coloring glycosides, asperuloside.
Application. Galenic and homeopathic products have been used as an antispasmodic and diuretic for urolithiasis. Banned by the German National Health Service since March 1993.
