Tinder – Polyporaceae Basidiomycetes – Basidiomycetes Pharmacy name: larch sponge – Laricis fungus (formerly: Fungus Laricis).
Botanical description. A solid fruiting body of a perennial tree fungus, hemispherical or semi-ellipsoidal in shape, 30 cm high and wide, and weighing more than a kilogram. The fungus parasitizes on the trunk of larch, grows on the plane of the bark.
Active ingredients: resinous substances, agaricin.
Application. Previously, larch sponge powder was used as a laxative, as well as a remedy to reduce sweating in tuberculosis.
