Perennial herbaceous plant with a thick root and several stems, covered with green leaves ribbed on both sides and numerous flowers, yellow, medium-sized, collected at the ends of the branches of the stem in corymbose inflorescences. Blooms in the second half of June – July.

Distributed from Transbaikalia throughout Siberia. It grows on the outskirts of forests, on the rocky slopes of Altai.

Medicinal raw materials are flowering branches.

Infusion of flowering branches in folk medicine is used for all kinds of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. In Tibetan medicine, an infusion of flowering branches is recommended for stomach diseases and in collections for the treatment of diabetes.
