Potentilla shrub

Shrub 15-80 cm tall with branches covered with brownish-gray scaly bark. The leaves are pinnate, covered with fine hairs below. The flowers are golden yellow, large, 15-30 cm across, located at the ends of the branches. Blooms from June to mid-August. The fruits are achenes with thin longish hairs.

Distributed in the mountainous regions of Siberia and the Far East, including Sakhalin and Kamchatka. Grows in mountain river valleys, coniferous forests.

Medicinal raw materials are flowering branches. The leaves contain a lot of tannins, ascorbic acid, carotene.

In folk medicine, infusion of branches is used for all kinds of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, dyspepsia, and fever.

Application

Infusion: 1 tbsp. a spoonful of crushed raw materials in a glass of boiling water, insist 2 hours and drink half a glass 2 times every day before meals.
