Jaundice levkoiny is a biennial herbaceous plant with a taproot, slightly branched root. The stem is branched, with branches directed obliquely upwards, 30-80 cm high. The leaves are alternate, oblong-lanceolate, pointed, not often toothed, with sparse tripartite hairs. The lower leaves are petiolate, the upper ones are sessile. Flowers in apical racemes. Petals bright yellow, 5 mm long. Pedicels 2-3 times longer than the petals, rejected after flowering. Fruits are erect or deviated tetrahedral pods, 2-4 cm long. Seeds are yellow, numerous. Blooms in May-August. The fruits ripen in June-September. Grass is harvested in the flowering phase (May), cut with sickles or knives without coarse ground parts.

Dry in attics under an iron roof or under sheds with good ventilation, laying out a thin layer (5-7 cm) and stirring occasionally. The quality of raw materials should be the same as that of the spreading jaundice.
