Laxman ‘s gorse (Ajuga laxmannii); kosar potion; Laxman’s lifeblood
Perennial herbaceous plant of the labiumaceae family. It has a thickened branched rhizome. Stems are numerous, erect or ascending, four-sided, hairy, 20-50 cm high. The leaves are opposite, elongated or oval-elliptic, 35-55 mm long and 10-15 (30) mm wide, sessile, entire, only at the apex occasionally notched, grayish, covered with pressed hairs. Flowers are irregular, single or two in leaf axils; corolla yellowish-dirty olive with dark stripes. The fruit consists of four nuts. Blooms during May-June.
Spread. It occurs in the forest-steppe and northern part of the steppe regions on the steppe slopes, on steppe shrubs, chalk and limestone outcrops.
Raw material . Herbs collected during the flowering of the plant are used to make medicines. Dry in the shade outdoors or in a well-ventilated room. The shelf life is 3 years. Pharmacies do not release raw materials.
