Gladysh broad-leaved (starodub)

GLADYSH BROAD-LEAVED (starodub).

 

It differs from most members of the Umbelliferae family by double-trifoliate leaves with large ovate leaves, 5–7 cm long and 3–4 cm wide, also multi-beam (up to 40) umbrellas with a multi-leaf wrapper, the presence of wrappers under the umbrellas and winged, large, up to 10 mm fruit length. Blooms in July.

Found in forests, shrubs.

Contains essential oil, bitter substance laser-pitin, substances of the coumarin group.

In folk medicine, the root is traditionally used for medicinal purposes.

Vodka tincture is considered the best remedy for various gastric diseases, it is recommended for stomach ulcers, heart diseases, pulmonary tuberculosis, liver diseases, diseases caused by weight lifting, toothache; rub sore joints.
