Sexual anesthesia is the result of a decrease in sensitivity or a complete shutdown of receptors in erogenous zones, which leads to anorgasmia and sexual dissatisfaction. Most often, sexual anesthesia is caused by factors of an organic nature (post-inflammatory changes in the genital organs and manifestations of skin diseases localized in their area, pathology of the nervous system, medical illness, alcoholism, etc.), but psychogenic factors can also underlie its occurrence. This sexual disorder is not often diagnosed and is not included in many classifications of sexual disorders.
