Myocarditis is an inflammatory lesion of the heart muscle. There are rheumatic, infectious (viral, bacterial, rickettsial, etc.), allergic (drug, serum, post-vaccination), with diffuse connective tissue diseases, injuries, burns, exposure to ionizing radiation. There are also idiopathic (that is, of unknown nature) Abramov-Fiedler myocarditis. The leading role in the development of the inflammatory process belongs to allergies and impaired immunity.

Symptoms and course

Myocarditis begins on the background of an infection or soon afterwards with malaise, sometimes persistent pain in the heart, palpitations and interruptions in its work and shortness of breath, and occasionally pain in the joints. Body temperature is normal or slightly high. The onset of the disease may be subtle or latent. The size of the heart increases early. Important, but not permanent signs are violations of the heart rhythm (tachycardia – its increase, bradycardia – its slowdown, atrial fibrillation, extrasystole) and conduction (all kinds of blockades). Acoustic symptoms may appear – deafness of tones, gallop rhythm, systolic murmur. Myocarditis can be complicated by the development of heart failure, the appearance of blood clots in the cavities of the heart, which, in turn, separated by blood flow, cause necrosis (heart attacks) of other organs (thromboembolism).

There are no strictly specific signs of myocarditis. The diagnosis is made on the basis of clinical signs, changes in the electrocardiogram, echocardiography, and the presence of laboratory signs of inflammation.

Bed rest. Early appointment of glucocorticoid hormones (prednisolone), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, butadione, ibuprofen, indomethacin). Heart failure, arrhythmia and conduction disorders are treated. Means are used that improve the processes of restoring metabolism in the heart muscle: retabolil, nerabol, riboxin, vitamins of groups B and C. With a protracted course of the disease – delagil, plaquenil.

let someone close to you (since you don’t like doctors) make you a myocardial puncture and examine the contents for infectious agents, and at the same time test for sensitivity to antibiotics. find the cause, eliminate it with drugs compatible with your body – and you will be happy

How can myocarditis be treated without examination? The Internet will not give you good advice. And then, you didn’t even write what myocarditis you have. And there are many of them. And are there symptoms of deficiency?
