Urinary retention can also occur as a result of damage to the central nervous system, as well as inflammatory processes in the perineum and rectum, with injuries of the pelvic bones with damage to the urinary tract.
Symptoms of urinary retention . Frequent urge to urinate, sensation of a full bladder, pain in the suprapubic region and in the perineum. The posture of the sick is typical: due to the disease, they bend, trying to breathe superficially.
Treatment of urinary retention. Should be in 2 stages. It is urgent to remove urine from the bladder using a catheter, puncture, or even surgery. The second stage is to determine the cause of urinary retention and, most likely, eliminate it.
