Indications for use:
With neuroses with increased irritability, mild spasms (narrowing of the lumen) of the coronary (heart) vessels, tachycardia (rapid heartbeat), insomnia, early stages of hypertension (persistent increase in blood pressure) and intestinal spasms.

Pharmacological action:
Combined product. Ethyl ester of alpha-bromizovaleric acid is a sedative, mild hypnotic and antispasmodic drug. Phenobarbital has a vasodilating and sedative effect, hypnotic (in appropriate doses). Peppermint oil has reflex vasodilating and antispasmodic activity.

Valocordin (Valocordin) method of administration and dose:
Inside, before meals, with a small amount of liquid. 15-20 drops 2-3 times every day, with tachycardia and vasospasm, 30-40 drops per dose.
Children – 3-15 drops 3 times a day, depending on the age and picture of the disease.

Hypersusceptibility, acute hepatic porphyria, hepatic and / or renal insufficiency, lactation period. With caution. Pregnancy.

Drug interaction:
When combined with sedative drugs, also ethanol – increased effects. Accelerates metabolism and weakens the effect of coumarin derivatives, corticosteroids, griseofulvin, oral contraceptive drugs. Increases the toxicity of drugs containing methotrexate.

With prolonged use – drug dependence, “bromism” phenomena, with a sharp cessation of treatment – “withdrawal” syndrome. Discomfort in the stomach and intestines, allergic reactions.
