Indications for use:
Various forms of epidermophytosis (skin diseases caused by filamentous parasitic fungi) and rubrophytosis (fungal diseases of the skin and nails), for the treatment of pityriasis versicolor, erythrasma (bacterial skin lesions localized on the inner thighs adjacent to the scrotum).
Pharmacological action:
It has a fungistatic and fungicidal effect (an action aimed at stopping the growth and destruction of parasitic fungi).
Octicylum (Octitsil) method of administration and dose:
Outwardly. The ointment is applied to the affected area of the skin 2 times every day, every day. The course of treatment lasts 4-8 weeks. With a dyshidrotic form of epidermophytosis (a fungal skin disease accompanied by a violation of its water balance), acute inflammation is first eliminated, then the affected skin is lubricated with a 1% alcohol solution 2 times every day. At night, they lubricate with ointment and apply a gauze bandage.
