With metritis (inflammation of the uterus), parametritis (inflammation within the uterine spaces), salpingitis (inflammation of the fallopian tubes), prostatitis and other inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs, ichthyol suppositories or tampons moistened with 10% glycerin solution of ichthyla are used. Candles and tampons are administered after a cleansing enema or spontaneous bowel cleansing.
