Calcemin (Calcemin)

Name:Calcemin (Calcemin)

Indications for use:
prevention of osteoporosis and other diseases of the musculoskeletal system,
prevention of diseases of the teeth, periodontal disease,
replenishment of vitamin and mineral deficiency in case of their insufficient amount in the diet,
children – during a period of intensive growth,
pregnant and lactating.

Pharmacological action:
Mineral and vitamin complex. Calcium, which is part of the product, is a building component for bone tissue, regulates the permeability of the vascular wall, participates in the regulation of conductivity in synapses and neuromuscular junctions, participates in the contractile activity of skeletal and smooth muscles, and is a necessary component for the blood coagulation process. Calcium is represented in the product by carbonate and citrate salts. Calcium carbonate contains the maximum amount of elemental calcium. Calcium citrate reduces the dependence of the process of calcium bioavailability on the state of the gastrointestinal mucosa, prevents calculus formation in the urinary system even in case of prolonged use, and reduces excessive production of parathyroid hormone.
Vitamin D (cholecalciferol) promotes adequate absorption of calcium, participates in the processes of regeneration and bone tissue building.

Zinc is an integral component of various body enzymes (more than 200 types) that synthesize proteins and nucleic acids. It also provides gene expression, regeneration and cell growth. It has a positive effect on the activity of the enzyme alkaline phosphatase.

Manganese promotes the synthesis of substances that are components of bone and cartilage tissue (glycosaminoglycans). Potentiates the calcium-saving ability of vitamin D.
Copper is involved in the formation of elastin and collagen. Helps to stop the phenomenon of demineralization of bone structures.

Boron normalizes the activity of the parathyroid hormone – parathormone. The latter is involved in the exchange of calcium, cholecalciferol, phosphorus, magnesium. The effect on the mineral metabolism of parathyroid hormone does not depend on the intake of vitamin D3.
Calcium is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, eliminated from the body with urine, sweat and feces. Calcium absorption is possible due to the activity of calbindin, an enzyme of the intestinal mucosa. The biosynthesis of calbindin directly depends on calcitriol, a metabolite of vitamin D.

Vitamin D is rapidly absorbed from the intestine. Penetrates into the bones, liver, adrenal glands, adipose tissue, heart muscle. When vitamin D is excreted in the bile, it is reabsorbed. Partially transformed into inactive metabolites.

Zinc is eliminated by the kidneys (10%) and intestines (90%).
Copper is partially absorbed from the intestine, the rest is eliminated unchanged or in the form of insoluble complexes. 80% of the injected copper is excreted in the bile, 16% in the intestines, 4% in the kidneys, and a very small amount in the sweat glands.
Boron after absorption from the intestine is excreted by the kidneys (90%).

Calcemin (Calcemin) method of administration and doses:

Calcemin (Calcemin) contraindications:
· hypersensitivity reactions (allergic) to the components of the product,
· hypercalciuria,
· hypercalcemia,
· nephrolithiasis.

Calcemin (Kalcemin) side effects:
More often observed in case of an overdose of the product (hypersensitivity reactions to the components of calcemin, nausea, flatulence, vomiting, hypercalciuria, hypercalcemia).

Pregnancy:
Not contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Overdose:
There are no reports of cases of overdose of Calcemin. If the dose has been exceeded, symptomatic treatment is prescribed (gastric lavage, the appointment of heavy drinking, eating foods that are poor in calcium).

Use with other medicinal products:
Do not use Calcemin together with calcium antagonist drugs.
