ROSYANKA LONG-LEAF (English)

A plant similar to round-leaved sundew. It differs by narrow, oblong-wedge-shaped or oblong-linear leaves, rounded at the apex, gradually turning into a petiole. Blooms in June-August.

It is found together with round-leaved sundew, but much less frequently.

Medicinal raw material is a herb that is harvested during flowering. Rosettes of dried leaves of past years are torn off from the whole plant and dried in the shade. The raw material consists of the aerial part of the plant with a rosette of basal leaves. When dried, the leaves take on a red-brown color, there is no smell, the taste is astringent, sour-bitter. In the glandular heads, cells with red juice are visible. Blackened or dark brown grass is not allowed for use.

The herb has an antispasmodic effect and is used as an infusion for whooping cough, chronic bronchitis, laryngitis and other respiratory diseases, cough (severe cough), and hemoptysis.

In folk medicine, they drink a decoction of herbs for nervous diseases, headaches, diphtheria, plague; alcohol tincture – for malaria, also for diarrhea, dysentery, headache.

Application

Infusion: 1-2 teaspoons of herbs insist in 2 cups of boiling water for 1 hour. Take 1 tbsp. spoon 3-4 times.

Tincture: 25%; 20 drops 3-4 times every day.
