Name: Odorless chamomile

COLLECTION AND DRYING OF RAW MATERIALS

Odorless Chamomile (Matricaria inodora L.) For medicinal purposes, the herb and flowers of odorless chamomile are used. Baskets are harvested at the beginning of flowering, grass in June – August. Drying is the same as pharmacy chamomile.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The plant has an emollient, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antispasmodic effect, but to a lesser extent than chamomile.

APPLICATIONS IN MEDICINE

Aboveground part. In folk medicine, infusion – with spasms of the stomach and intestines, delayed menstruation, colds (as an antitussive for bronchitis); externally – in the form of rinses for toothache, inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity; in the form of washings – for wounds, ulcers; in the form of enemas – with hemorrhoids; in the form of lotions – for skin diseases.

DOSAGE FORMS, METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSES

♦ Infusion of odorless chamomile herb: 2 tablespoons of raw materials pour 200 ml of boiling water, insist, then filter.

APPLICATIONS IN OTHER FIELDS

Insecticide against earth fleas, medium-sized caterpillars and larvae, but can be successfully used against other insects. It is not eaten fresh by animals, it is eaten satisfactorily in hay.
