Pharmacy name: rush root – Junci radix (formerly: Radix Junci).
Botanical description. The spreading rush forms dense sods with yellow-brown basal leaves and bright green stems. It grows on bare ground, in wet meadows, along river banks and in wet forest clearings.
Active ingredients: tannins rich in silicic acid.
Application. Light dehydrating agent in the so-called blood-purifying course.
